 "La Fuerza Lara"
Before the band started performing with this name, they appeared in shows with another name as "Lara and His Latinos". A group of strangers which later became friends, taught the three young brothers the basics of music theory. Later becoming known as the band "Lara and his Latinos". The five men coming from Mexico and no where to stay, Mr. Lara asked them to stay for a while until they got back on their feet. These fellow musicians rehearsed daily where Martin, Adam, and Fernando participated in. 

Soon after, neighborhood friends joined the band and introduced the sound of the accordion, and would change the name of the band to "The Ranchers of Alvin".
 Martin, Adam, and Fernando(the three brothers) continued to rehearse but, would combine both styles of norteño and cumbia tropical and create a unique style for their original songs. At a young age they managed to record their first album with two songs topping the charts in the competitive music industry in one of Mexico's largest city, Monterrey, Mexico. These two musical hits were "El Pupurupo" and "Los Amantes De Medio Tiempo" (Part time lovers). With their first studio album they began to perform in places where before doors would not open for them. They experienced the opening act setting at events with other major grammy award winning artists. 

Their dad again decided to change the name of the band during the month of August with a new name in mind. But, he remembered August is the horoscope sign "Leo", the other name he had in mind never came about and got stuck with the name "Leo". After this new name change in 1997, the band learned quickly the only way to be recognized at a professional level was to record and release a new album as "Grupo Leo". This next album, released a captivating cumbia with northern overtones and fascinating lyrics which caused other doors to open just like they did when they were kids. To mention some venues they were invited to perform are; George R. Brown Convention Center, Pasadena Convention Center, Carnival International Hall, State Fairs, Seasonal Festivals, and State Rodeos. 

Throughout their musical career, which they now call themselves "La Fuerza Lara" have saved memorable episodes by placing two great hits on the radio. "I remember that two songs were notoriously popular in the city of Monterrey and its quadrant, I am referring to the songs 'Part-Time Lovers' and the cumbia 'The Pupurupo','with emotion and confidence to dominate the popularity lists".
